I am pretty sure that I don’t have to say this because you’ve seen it, but I am going to anyways…
“Technology has changed immensely over the last 6 years that I’ve been in the Party Plan industry”
And you have to evolve your business to keep up or you will be frustrated.
This is where I see a lot of other Direct Sales coaches going wrong…
They are still stuck in the past, but “trying” to keep up with what’s going on in the present.
Am I saying that some of that stuff doesn’t work for “some” people? No!
I am saying that most of that stuff doesn’t work for people like you who are out there building their Direct Sales business, TODAY!
This is not 30 years ago…
Hell, it’s not even 10 years ago…
99% of people text now-a-days, I mean, you can call someone, they won’t answer and then they will text you to see what you needed or to respond to your voicemail.
Why do you think they do this?
Do you think they do this to be impersonal or rude?
Do you take it that way?
If you do we really need to talk...
The reason they do that is because it’s convenient for them to get back to you when they can give you their focus.
I want to tell you a little secret about me that shocks every person that I tell...Are you ready??
It’s how I booked parties…
Coached my hostesses…
Checked in on clients
And built relationships with my clients who ordered…
Here’s another secret…
When I was doing my full time parties…
My yearly sales were around 90K, My party average is $1,400. And I booked 16 parties per month (This was full time for me to support my family).
I don’t tell you this to brag, I tell you this to help alleviate some of the stress and pressure that you feel to pick up the phone and call.
You DO need to have a personal touch, but I believe that there’s more than one way to have a personal connection with your clients and no-a-days calling them is not...
or I should say.....
“I have found for me that calling them is not”
How is it for you?
Are you getting results from phone calls?
From what I have heard from other Direct Sellers it’s just not working like it used to (10 years ago).
So with that, you have to evolve and start communicating with people in such a way that it’s most convenient for them and you if you think about it.
Text them to see how they are doing with their new products…
Text them to check in with them…
Text them to invite them to your Hostess Appreciation Party…
Text them to have them book a party…
Text them to hostess coach them…
But don’t text them to recruit them :) (we will talk about this more on another blog, but texting for new recruits doesn’t really work).
